I don't think I've ever used the term "saddle" in reference to motorcycle seats. I know others do, perhaps a regional thing?
When I hear "throne", I think a drummers' seat.
When referred to in the context of the NC, the proper terminology for the seat is "The Iron Maiden"
I would no sooner call the seat a saddle than my wife a ballast monkey.............
Right, because ballast monkeys are for sidecar racing. The chances of a woman understanding that this is a term of endearment are minimal.
