Just three days until the launch of “ISLE OF MAN TT – RIDE ON THE EDGE 3,” and we’re still getting new game modes popping up pre-launch.

For those of you who don’t know, the “Isle of Man TT” videogame series allows players to swing a bitmapped leg over their choice of superbike, competing in a simulated topography of the world’s most dangerous motorcycle race: The Isle of Man TT.

This year will purportedly carry the updates everybody has been wanting – and that apparently includes an expanded map.

More than 36 miles of ultra-technical track have now been expanded to a stunning 124 miles of open road and inter-connected routes on which to hone the perfect apex algorithm, competing in a battle of physics and endurance to come out on top…or just enjoy the pieces of history posited by Raceward Studio.

“Take to selected side streets, spot the holiday rental you used on a previous visit, and even ride some of the more historic, and now unused, courses on the island,” lauds coverage from Visordown.

“The first [unused course] is the Clypse course, a 10.9-mile loop that was used between 1954 and 1959. It begins at Governor’s Bridge, taking in Cronk-ny-Mona and Creg-ny-Baa. The other course unlocked for players is the St John’s, a 15-mile, 45-turn route that was originally run as it was, meaning it was dust-covered and extremely perilous.”

Whichever your inclination, we’ll have the program to crack open just in time to feed that terminal speed addiction for the weekend.
