Rox risers installed

My attempt at the Rox was a complete fail. 2014 700x, all cables and brake line seemed to have the length. Just couldn't get them locked down. Games not over yet, if I can get them locked down it would indeed be magic to have them up and back a bit. Luckily I had backup risers and it works just enough to get by on but have to find a way to make the Rox work. JB weld, ok not really but I want the @$?!#$@ things on. By the way Sunday was a spectacular ride out the Clackamas River.

So I installed just a basic riser and thought I was good to go. Has worked for awhile but now I'm back to feeling like someone has taken a baseball bat and whacked me between the shoulder blades again. The smokin deal I got on the bike is slowly evaporating. Is it really going to help if I the Rox installed up and back. And I really need to get the Seat Concepts ordered as well. Will keep the bike if I can get these 2 very big issues dialed in. Is getting the Rox installed up and back and the seat upgrade really going to do the trick? I just may be tempted to weld the $@#!¥€£¿ things on if it will help. Also just a little concerned on just how different it's going to handle with the 2 mods done. Crap that African Twin is really looking bad *** now. Any input on one or both will help a lot, thanks.

For me, they helped but did not completely solve the issue. I am not a tall person so I have what I would consider short arms. The Rox Risers probably don't lean back far enough to put me in the "perfect" riding position. They did help but I'm still done after about 5 hours of continuous riding (or less). They seem to solve the problem people for most but I thought you should hear both sides of the story. In my opinion, they are not the miracle cure but I would still make the purchase knowing what I know now.

They didn't help me at all really. I have them set back and the bars close to me but I need to find a better position because I can only last two hours at the moment. At about two hours I get some upper back pain pinching. Maybe the bars are too low and close to me?

Someone said a Powermadd riser wouldn't work, but no details as to what part number, or why it didn't fit. But I'm thinking this PowerMadd riser #45419 would work:

I never had trouble with stuff moving around using a PowerMadd riser previously, didn't even rough up any surfaces and it was a very nice piece.

Thanks for the info, it's kind of what I was thinking the end result would be. Will do the upgrade with the Seat Concepts and see if that helps.

I installed the ROX risers, a Shad Seat (also did the seat mod shown in forum), and lowered Vario pegs. I am 6'4" tall and those changes made a huge improvement. Went from being miserable after 2 hours to being just fine after 8 hours on the bike. It's now more comfortable than any bike I have ever ridden.

guys, I just got a set of Rox 2" adjustable risers. Although I have read the thread, I am hesitant to do the job myself. I have a 2013 dct model. Any advice or should I just go to the dealer and let them do it? I'm afraid that might be a waste of $$...thanks Dan

Forget the last post, I did it:) The only thing that remains a bit tight is the brake line. I think it's ok for now but I'll have the dealer check it next week....thanks guys...Dan

I finally gave up on my Rox risers wanting to move and replaced them with SW Motech. These will never move. They are up and back to a location similar to where I had my ROX. Not adjustable but pretty much where I wanted them. Rox refusing to make theirs so they won't slip is frustrating and I for one am through with them.

I think Honda knew what they were doing knurling thier handle bars so they would not rotate in Honda clamps.

Sounds very interesting. Picture of the SW-Motechs mounted, please?

Fuzzy and/or dduelin, would you say the SW-Motech center to center offset is actually 2" like on the 2" Rox, or is it a little less?

They come in different rises/pull backs. I have the 30mm ones that are up 30 and back 22mm. They come in 20, 25, 30, and 50mm rise, all with 22mm back.

Do you have a link, I found 31mm on twisted throttle and 28mm on revzilla.
