I've only had my bike a week and only have put on about 700kms and I've developed a BAD HABIT. I am cruise down the highway and realize I am running in 5th gear. Not a big problem but still. I should get better mileage if I run 6th so I just need to be a little more aware. Bike runs fine in 5th but its just something I need to work on !!

Whats your BAD HABIT ??

I've done that a few times because the bike I rode for seven years before that was a five speed. I forget occasionally that I have another gear.

Say you're trying to adjust the cramp buster with the left hand by reaching over and you accidentally hit the kill button, you can't just turn the kill switch to on and start it back up. You have to turn off the key and back on again to get it to start.
I guess I should have been stopped when I did it!

??? I have without turning key off.
Do it occasionally at stubborn sensor to get light to change and at least once at speed when I accidentally bumped kill switch.

I was rolling and flicked the kill switch back to "on" but the engine wouldn't start until I turned the key off and back on. Probably just a little quirk. I may do it again in the driveway to check it out. I tried just letting out on the clutch first -that didn't work. Then, did the key thing and it started right up.

I most always remember this is a six speed when I'm up shifting, wish I could say the same when I down shift.

Keep accidentally hitting the 'M' lever while in auto. Finally installed a Go Cruise. That now blocks my hand.

Programming my sat nav on the move, terrible habit that you've just brought to the fore front of my mind.

A habit that I'm gonna stop right now.

Thanks for posting. :)

Been there,done that!!!

A 7th gear would be nice. I do that all the time. But probably my worst habit is since the COG is so low coasting hands free and even getting through shallow curves is too easy, and I need to stop doing that.
