Telecam's story is probably one of the top for worst luck...
What we have seen on this forum related to DCT issues usually involves battery or weak battery terminals, the DCT sensors, the shifter pin from hell, shift motor and maybe the clutch packs. All in all, it does not seem so bad to me...
I would be curious to see some pics of the sprockets... mine seem OK and I'm at 30K and will be leaving the sprocket alone for now. I compared to the manual's pictures of the sprockets for wear and they seem OK. I mostly drove in D mode, hardly ever hard or in S mode.
I believe StratTurner (and Sumo) is also from Ontario, so next year we could all get together and if anyone else is near by and reads this let us know...
If you pass thorough here again let me know ... come to think of it ... would be nice to organize some sort of yearly ontario group rides of the NC family ! :)
I’m in Peterborough... I still have yet to make it to alganquin park ... Emily park isn’t that great ... try silent lake next time ... it’s not too out of the way ... and watch out for the pick ups in the kawarthas ... they don’t care for the bikes :/ 507 highway is famous around here ...
Curious if they gave you back the bad shifter motor or if it will end up with Honda for review ... would be useful to know why the heck it failed so prematurely.
So to summarize the whole thread:
1. original battery = check
2. shifter motor = check
3. shifter pin = check
4. angle sensors = check
5. angle sensors harness connections = check
6. ECU unit = check
Did we cover everything ? One of these will hopefully be the culprit!
NO issues here, the wife is about 130, 5 foot 7 or so... and actually we have the right amount of room and the Honda OEM top box provides excellent back support for her...
You don't want too much room either where she starts to slide back and forth :)
No power issues either, not when in S...
