Thanks for the link. I was able to find a 14 model in my area that came with a black engine. Now if I could black out the rear sets. Thought about powder coat but not sure how it would hold up.
Dang good ideas! Since I've almost completely blacked out all the grey and silver on my red 14 NC, (painted plastic engine guard, black fork gaiters, black Madstad screen) I couldn't think of any other mods. So I'm on these!

2014 NC700X used mainly as a mule to take me camping to fishing holes and mountain trails of which I do alot of trail running.

But the dark shield looks so nice on that red bike! I received my 20" this week. Fits me much better than the 18". A little surprising being that I'm only 5'6. Luckily I am able to see over the shield adjusted for highway speed so I will be keeping the dark tint.
Some pics of a second generation Madstad on a red bike. The shield is an 18" dark grey. It does provide exceptional wind protection, but I must have the shield in it's highest position to smooth out the buffeting. I will be sending it back for a 20".
I have a Yoshimura can. Mainly because I like the carbon fiber on the red bike. It added a deeper rumble, but no where near to loud. Noticed no change in performance or mpg.
I never have liked top boxes very much, but to satisfy my bad habit of packing to much camping gear I purchased a Givi V46. I think the Givi set up looks good and is top quality.
Don't feel bad. It happened to me just last week. In a crowded gravel parking lot. Going very slow looking for a place to park. Front tire slid out in some loose gravel. Next thing I know I'm down under the bike. Got out from under it. Pissed off I picked the bike up. Only damage was some minor...
