700X will only start in neutral

My 2012 700x will ONLY start when the gear shifter is in neutral.
It will not start with the clutch disengaged while in gear.
Very frustrating to have to shift to neutral to re-start.
Any ideas?

Is the kickstand down? If it isn't could be the kickstand switch.

It could also be the clutch switch. You can unplug the wires at the left bar and that should bypass that switch.

I may be backwards, but same idea, you'll have to run a jumper wire between those connectors. One of those two should let the bike start in gear... but make sure you pull the clutch anyway.

Found the problem, bad clutch switch, just jumpered it out, starts fine. Thanks for the help.
