Because like I said earlier I don't know my own strength and even on the best days shit happens. Not everyone has a fully stocked tool shed. Some of us have to make do with what we have. These bolts are the lightest bolts I have ever worked with and I had never snapped a bolt in all my years of...
Just finished adjusting the valves on my 2013 NC. This guide was extremely helpful. Thank you!!
My only issue was that I snapped two of the valve cover bolts. Don't know my own strength. :D
Got some new bolts and all is good.
That is what I was asked today as I was suiting up after work. She was on the bench behind my parking spot and had stroller with her. I told her it's not loud at all, sleeping baby? She said her baby had just fallen asleep and she didn't want to scare the kid awake with loud pipes. She thanked...
Thank you both very much for the pictures and opinions on the sliders! I agree the frame attached R&G might be better in crash but the BF certainly look nicer!
Nothing to attach it to on the left, unless I bought a bracket. DCT parking brake is in the way. So I just attached it to the brake reservoir bolts on the right and fits perfectly and works fine for me when riding.
ISlander - post up some pics when yours arrive. :D
I just installed a set of Givi hand guards that I bought from forum member vodapas*. The installation was easy and took about 15 minutes. They attach at points at the bar end and a metal bracket that connects to the mirror stem. I like the look of these hand guards, I feel they compliment the...
Good video, I am enjoying the DCT on my NC700X and I would probably get a DCT crosstourer if they brought them to the U.S. Just gotta get it past the wife...
I have the kriega US-5 drybag to hold my tire plugs, small compressor, head lamp, leatherman tool, tire pressure gauge and it fits perfectly above the tailight strapped to my topcase rack. Completely waterproof and it straps up nice and tight to the NC.
Just got a gopro and I tried mounting it on the frunk with the suction cup mount. It worked but was a little vibey on certain roads. Got the chest mount and haven't looked back. Easy to turn on and off while riding with minimal effort and I like the POV on the videos.
Dang, sorry to hear about your wreck and I'm glad you are relatively alright. Heal quickly!
Can you tell the insurance company that the deer hit you?
Technically I don't split in the traditional sense. I will take advantage of natural gaps between cars and filter kinda side to side from one lane to another on a two lane road. Occasionally, if traffic is not moving at all, I will filter.
In the city sometimes I will filter to the front of...
I know I'm a little late to the party, but I had the same reservations when I first got my NC700XD.
Coming from a CVT Aprilia Mana, the NC had clunky shifting and a slight pulsing vibration in 6th gear....then after much research I realized that is just what the bike does and to enjoy the ride.
It's a kriega US-5 drypack. It has mounting straps and buckles (I did not use the buckles) and fits nicely under the top case. I use the topcase baseplate for two straps, the givi topcase plate has a hole in the middle, and the other straps are on the signal stalks of the bike.
I have a...
