Very hard to have good control whe your teeth are chattering so hard your eye balls are rattling......I've used heated clothes since the 80's......?I have tried many brands and have come to like Gerbings the best. Always use a thermostat and wouldn't be without it. Long rides in cold weather...

Just over 11,600 no problems.....DTC is just like new.......only one chain adjustment (after replacing rear tire)....very pleased with this bike.....

1969 Honda CB750 in about 1972 when the California DMV first required them.....Pulled up to the inspector....he had me do a slow figure eight...waived me over and said "if your riding that bike....I know you know how to ride".....He passed me then and there!

I had a 1983 CX650 Turbo......much better bike than the 500.....it was a real rocket.....rode it all over the western states....one of the best bikes I ever owned.....wish I still had it....

11500 miles on mine.....lots of time over 75 mph........62 to 65mpg.....new in September 2013.....no warranty issues....

What Fuzzy said.....What is lugging?...I have always thought it happens when you give the motor more fuel than is can use.....These motors are low RPM and VERY HIGH TORQUE.....They are maid that way on purpose......to get fuel economy.... 1 Reduce weight 2 slow the motor down.....

For a long trip.....My RT1100 is very hard to beat.....around town and to work and back...the NC wins every time...If money is no object a new Ducati Multistrda would be my choice...."SO MANY ROADS....SO LITTLE TIME"..............

I believe it is best to change both sprockets along with the install of a new chain........ As far as chain alignment goes I have used one of the laser chain alignment tools for many years.....Profi Laser DOT Chain & Belt Alignment Tool - BikeBandit.com very fast and easy to use...
