Try them all! Unless you’re looking for a bike that will snap your neck or pull the bars from your grip, I bet you’ll find all the zip you need. And with all the triggers and buttons and modes to play with, I’ve found this bike to be more challenging and fun to ride, in order to ride it to its...
No need to be concerned with DCT in a traffic jam. I sit in them all the time in Chicago and if I find it shifting too frequently to suit me, I just flip it to S1 which holds first (and second) gear a little longer OR I’ll flip in to manual and use the shift trigger to shift it my way. Either...
Bought a pair of Gerbing micro-wire liners at a motorcycle show years ago. They are extremely thin and they are wired to heat more of the fingers and hand rather than just the back of the hand and fingers like some of the gloves do; I spent a bunch of bucks on one pair of heated gloves that only...
I have tried different winter gloves with mixed feelings: too bulky, light enough but not quite warm enough, no dexterity, you get the picture. And the same with heated gloves. Mixed bag once again. Finally bought heated glove LINERS that I can wear inside of any glove I particularly like, and...
Just can’t warm up to the “no rear fender” look. See that on more and more models. And the rider “triangle” looks a little off - but that could be a misperception from the photo. Guess electric is our future - well, someone’s future, I’ll be riding the clouds by then.
Brother you said a mouthful. Just think how much more enjoyable motorcycling would be if all the cars WERE robotically controlled. We could ride without all the stress of thinking about getting creamed by an idiot in a cage.
Hey, Bob, sounds like you've probably alraedy done the mod that raises the seat. That was a big help for me, but since I just couldn't spring for a new seat, I had to try all of the cheap fixes. Like you, I just don't have the natural "padding" so I had to add some. I tried the air hawk but even...
You might take your cell phone and hold it down low and forward while you ride to see if you can video anything that might help. The audio won't be good because of the wind but you might spot some movement of a part. A cheap selfie stick would help.
Hi Rocket Guy, glad you made it through all of that. Throwing a leg over may present an ongoing problem for you, especially if you add luggage. It's not overly tall, but it is a fairly tall bike. Once you're aboard, the leg extension is pretty good but as some have already noted, the stock seat...
I did numerous test rides on that bike at several different dealers. I really wanted to like that model. That's why I kept going back to it, hoping I would overcome the issues I had with it. I wanted to replace my Goldwing with the CTX1300. It looked right, sat right, and had pretty much just...
