A few people have been scammed on the site, Only use paypal to pay for items for sale by other members. If they will not use paypal, its likely a scam NEVER SEND E-TRANSFERS OF ANY KIND.
Your metal collar and grommet are undoubtedly victims of the mysterious tractor beam force that sucks all loose nuts, washers, and miscellaneous hardware down deep into the bowels of Honda plastic bodywork..... never to be seen again unless you find a way to hang your bike upside down and give...
I had exactly the same thing happen on my 2013 when I put on a Dale's rack. I pulled off the rear seat cover and cut an access hole in the foam rather than pulling the foam off (idea was to reinsert the foam plug when done). The top of the bolt is a flat rectangular head that fits in a plastic...
Welcome Sully! Both my daughters went to college in Madison; great town. I had a lot of numbness in my right hand when riding both my NC and my KLR, and I greatly reduced it by putting on the fattest grips I could find, stretching Grip Puppies over them, and buying nerve protection gloves...
I had the same issue when I mounted my mirror extenders. I found an old aluminum cigar tube, filled it with PB Blaster, and soaked the mirror stem and nuts overnight. Broke loose the next day when I tried it. Good luck!
Didn't see an off-road park Glenn, but I was pretty focused on the road. My buddy says after the first time the drive is easier, but it sure had this Minnesota flat-lander spooked!
Scared myself today...
Rode Skyline Drive near Canon City, CO today; thought it would be an ordinary scenic drive. Turns out it was a one-way, 8' wide strip of asphalt installed by inmates to allow the warden to take his wife up to a scenic overlook. Not a guardrail in sight and extreme...
Reached the Summit in Iowa..
Off on a little September ramble from Minnesota to Colorado. Since I will be traveling at high elevations, I decided to start with the highest point in Iowa...
Hi from a fellow Minnesotan, Willie - I just installed a dual horn setup with Hella Supertones - really happy with the volume and sharp high/low tone that really gets a car's attention - kind of a European sports car tone. I mounted one in the stock location and the other one underneath the...
Thanks RoadRider13- if you are serious about the NC, I would highly recommend Dale's HondaBikePro rack. I installed it and use it for a large rear pack when I tour, and it works great. I never ride two-up, so I don't need the passenger portion of the seat; if I did it's three bolts to put it...
Congratulations and welcome, Erik. Just got my 2013 a few months ago and this forum has been extraordinarily useful in learning the habits and quirks of the NC700X. Lots of good info here.
Happy Trails -
Lars
Thought I would follow up with a status report on my seat improvement issues. I was a bit skeptical of raising the front of the seat as many here have done, because I didn't like the gap it left under the seat and I wasn't sure how much it would help. I did it yesterday, raised the front of...
Hi Techrat -
I just wired my LED lights and my SAE connector using Eastern Beaver's 3 Circuit Solution (3CS-Sealed). Jim is located in Japan, but has excellent customer service and quick turn-around. I could have used the Honda subharness, but I wanted a little more than the 7.5 amps that is...
I don't think they have, 670cc. I am having the same experience you just describe. My leg muscles are getting a workout gripping the frunk. What seat did you finally settle on?
SleepyC and dduelin, I understand what you are talking about. In general, I have loved Sargent seats on my other bikes, but I'm not quite sure about this one yet. I'm going to try raising the front, and also try an AirHawk pad that I have on the shelf. Still feels like I am jammed down into...
My Sargent World Sport seat came today, so I thought I would share a couple of photos and a few things I learned:
1) Best not to strip out the "under the foam" head of one of the passenger seat attachment bolts... then also not a good idea to cut a cube out of the seat foam trying to get at...
