I just installed my 3rd front tire today on the NC750x. I purchased this tire last fall already but was discouraged by the local MC shop from putting it on back then.

I've been a little annoyed by a wobble that happens around 70km if I'm not holding the handle bars to dampen them. Not that I ride with no hands .... just hovering over the bars. It starts slow and quickly gets progressively worse till I say enough of that and grab the bars again. I've been thinking it's due to uneven wear on the front tire.

So... had the tire installed today now that I have a 17mm hex socket to remove the front wheel.

All this is to say that this new tire has really smoothed out the ride. Feels really nice at speed on decent roads. I did the hands off test and there is a movement of the handle bars around 70km but it's just slight and sorts itself out without me intervening.

For what it's worth I've been running a Shinko 009 Raven and replaced it with the same. I had around 21,000 km on the old front tire.

If you google............. "motorcycle hands off the bars decel wobble" ........change wobble to shake or shimmy to get more results you will get several days of reading and 100's theories some good some bad. You will find hand off bars shake on decel is very very common.

70 Km/H is a very low speed to have any wobbling. Either the wheel assembly is way out of balance, or the rim has excessive run out. Either one will cause accelerated uneven tire wear. The rim can be checked by raising the front wheel off the ground and rotating it. While there are run out specifications, a reasonable rule of thumb is that it shouldn't be visible when the wheel is spinning. Out of balance is more probable. If the shop didn't balance the wheel when they changed the tire, pay them, or someone else to do it, or add Ride On to the tire.

Ride On is a Rip Off. You can do better on what is essentially fillers suspended in a mix based on antifreeze.
