Accessory Harness to Gerbing harness

Any here have a Gerbing set up attached to the accessory wiring harness? If so, is it just a matter of trimming the battery attachment rings from the end of the Gerbing harness and attaching them to a plug that will mate to the accessory harness? Lastly, the whole accessory harness ends up being powered on by the ignition when turning the key, correct?

Pretty sure the directions for the Gerbings controller states that you have to connect directly to battery. Mine did.
I run heated gloves, a jacket and sometimes pants and socks. I think we are talking about a 7 amp or so fuse in the sub-harness and I already had it wired to the factory heated grips.

The sub-harness is only hot when the ignition is <on>. When I shut off the bike, the grips also turn off.

Your recall is correct; I was just hoping to reduce the spaghetti mess what with the Gerbing harness & a battery tender harness on the same posts.
