Avon Storm 3D X-M

Time for new tires. A high-mileage sport touring tire would fit my riding style. Has anyone used the Avon Storm 3D X-M on the NC?

I live in central FL where the paving is coarse, the heat is high and traffic on the interstates moves at 70 -80 mph. My 2014 came with the Dunlop Trailmax tires and the rear was shot at 2,750 mi. I put on these Avons and around 3,000 miles on them now. The profile on the rear tire is just beginning to show some flattening in the center, but it doesn't effect handling and there is still plenty of tread. There is no sign of wear on the front tire. FWIW, the tread depth on a new rear tire is about double that of the front tire. The handling is very good and the bike feels solid and stable coming out of hard turns under hard acceleration at the top of 4th gear. I've been caught in rain storms several times and traction is the wet is fine.

I like them fine.
