If it makes you feel any better, I thought the Africa Twin's seat was worse than the NCX's. It was fine for a dirt bike, which is basically what the Africa Twin is, but not good for touring.

Sorry to butt in so late, I am just now reading this thread. During the posted dates of this thread,
I was riding the ATwin somewhere in Utah heading back to Colorado.
Going to Moab, Utah from Atlanta, GA consisted of five 300+ days with only fuel and food stops.
My butt did not complain on the stock seat. Much better than the NC stock.
The main reason is that it is wider and longer, making you move a bit to get the blood flowing.

Butt, as always, YMMV

PS. the CTX700N DCT was my first bike and still have it,
but can only sneak a short ride to maintain the battery
as my Africa Twin is very motophobic.
