After months and months of hunting Craigslist and Ebay, got lucky
found in Chicago NC700XD with side and back Honda boxes
Leo Vince exhaust, centre stand, Cee Beiley windscreen and just 760 miles on the clock

Bought ticket to Chicago, picked up bike and drove back to Boston 1057 miles
my longest trip before that, was on Honda SilverWing - 70 miles

Had a lot of time to play with bike and get used to that transmission

Was surprised about quality of Honda side and top boxes
For that price, I was expecting better quality
Boxes feel flimsy and as soon, as you load them with clothes,
they start to bend and it is hard to close lid
Aprilia or Givi boxes, especially expensive ones, feel way more solid

Cee Beiley windscreen cracked after couple hundred miles
was afraid it will brake apart and hit my face on the highway

Stopped at Cleveland, visited 3 different Honda dealers
called couple more on the phone
not a singe one had a tall windscreen in stock

Tomorrow will try to deal with Cee Beiley
previous owner bought that windscreen just couple months ago
will see how CB customer service work

It was not many options
Shipping companies ask about 500$ to ship from Chicago to Boston
not bad at all,
But bike was not from dealer it was from ebay, from private seller
I already had bad experience with ebay
was trying to buy BMW 540
seller's description was "perfect shape, 70000 miles, looks and runs like new"
after auction ended I had to pay $500 deposit
went to Philadelphia, just to see piece of crap, car had few accidents, and was fixed badly
closed hood, would stick at least 1/2 inch above fenders, to close doors you had to push really hard
over all car looked like it was at least 170000 miles not 70
was fighting through PayPal and Ebay
not much luck
even if it is obvious - description was not correct, they would not return deposit
finally at least got $250 back

In thit case it would be even worse
I would get bike shipped and if something doesn't work, I would doubt Paypal or ebay would help much

So decided to fly and drive back
I knew it will be tough
and I can tell you it was...

Can you tell if the windshield damage was possibly due to over tightening of fasteners?? I am looking hard at the Cee Baileys 22" model as they have a great reputation for quality.

Craig

Welcome from the desert southwest. Sorry to hear about your Cee Bailey windshield. Mine has performed flawlessly for me. WOW!

Craig, I would doubt it was over tightening issue
because fasteners had rubber washers
and if it would happen, it would happen during installation

That screen was on the bike for a while
when I started my trip, it was in perfect shape
it survived almost all nigh, but at the morning, when I wanted to wash windscreen, I saw that crack

Windscreen is just couple months old
I got receipt from original owner
and contacted CBailey today

So far, they are giving hard time
they don't want to deal with me, even if I have receipt
finally they asked to send pictures
and I didn't hear from them since

Tomorrow will try to call again
will see how they will handle warranty
it cracked in less than a 1000 miles

Welcome From CT and fellow Boston Sports Fan!! Go Sox!! btw any New Englanders wanna make a road trip to Twisted Throttle in RI you let me know. I will be going next week to personally look at some aftermarket mods and probably wont be my only trip this summer.

I was looking at Twisted Throttle website and realized they are not that far from Boston
Visited that store last Tuesday and they didn't have Givi crash bars in stock
Looks like will have to drive next week again to RI

BTW they have NC700 on display right next to the entrance
Black one with Twisted Throttle stickers

Hello from New Mexico--If you haven't already got another windshield, I recommend the Parabellum. It was $183 with shipping and they come in 20,22, and 24 inch sizes. I got the 22" since I am 6 feet tall and it works quite well.344.jpg
By the way, I grew up in Ipswich, Mass. I still miss Cranes Beach.
