My impression is that most people on this forum accessorize their NC in some way. I tend to keep things pretty stock, maybe a couple factory accessories. At times that's made me feel a little like an outsider when I read so much on this forum about accessories and modifications.

So, I thought I'd create a poll to find out "the facts."

This is a two-part poll:
1. Check one selection in the top portion -- how much you accessorize or modify your NC.
2. Check one selection in the bottom portion -- where you get your accessories.

Have fun and thanks for participating.

I have the large top box, saddlebags just mounted this week. Waiting for the center stand. I have a garmin mounted on the clutch leaver mount and have my heated gear hooked up. This is it for me since my bike is parked for winter. I have 3000 miles in a month and half, next big trip is from Central Washington,Wa State to North Pole Alaska, planning for June ride, any takers?

12 volt power source (link from this site), Garmin GPS mount (fork cap), heads up LED voltage monitor, Gold shorty levers,
Later, Center stand, taller windscreen.....

Haven't been able to do a thing to it yet, did way to much damage to my credit card during a 6 day trip to Key West. But I've been writing Santa for a slip on exhaust and rear hugger, we'll see if I've been nice enough.

12V outlet in Not A Tank, USB port on handlebar. Ram mount for iPhone. Cheapie EBay adjustable levers. SW Moteck top rack and Givi V46 top case. Sargent custom seat. Key knob for opening pillion/trunk. Center stand (back ordered). Go Cruise throttle lock.

That's it until I start looking at windscreens and/or see something else that I just can't live without.

TRACKSIDE Folding Mirror $12.99

This is a temporary mod and the stock mirrors will be back on the NCX when I get back to my garage.

I had to remove the stock mirrors until I get it up to the mountains of WNC. Where I am keeping the NCX it would not fit between the staircase and a wall. The NCX is under the staircase covered. I sure do miss my 2 car garage. 178 days to go!! I attached the last image just to show you all what I was talking about with the stairway and the wall in the back ground being narrow. The young lad on my 1997 Softail is just a friend of the new owner that rode it off when I sold it. One of the reasons I sold my Softail was for consideration for my neighbors, It was really loud with the baffles removed on the Samson pipes. I use to walk it out of the complex to start it and that got old real quick. I also bought the NCX to explore the mountains of Western NC with great fuel economy, storage and no scraping of pegs or boards on the windy and hilly roads.

Please do NOT bring up the topic of lane splitting!!!!!!!! I made this mod before this topic was brought up here on the forum.

Have receipts but won't tally them. Don't want to know how much I spent.

In no particular order.

Custom Seat
Givi Trekker 33's as panniers with associated mounting parts sold separately.
Givi Wind Screen
PIAA 1100 LEDs (really bright but need to re-wire them, mechanic tapped power from the left turn signal so they turn off when the left turn signal is on)
R & G Rear Hugger
SW Motech Crash Bars
SW Motech Center Stand
PIAA Sports Horn (still sitting in a box waiting to be installed)
SW Motech On-Road/Off-Road foot pegs (still sitting in a box waiting to be installed)

I just got the Honda topbox fitted. It's awesome. I'm a commuter/practicality guy and the trunk is perfect for running around town doing errands and bringing stuff to and from work.

Also got the heated grips which are devine. They feel like a warm bath on my hands. I added the fenda extenda. It's sweet and shows how Honda should have designed the fender. I got the upper wind deflectors and they're kind of a shrug.

I'm getting the MRA Vario sheild but it's backordered.

Have fun modding up your bike.

I bought the NC700S (base model). Honda does not have a good selection of accessories for us. Currently I have 4 mod's exhaust(GPR Powercone Baffle in), rad guard, fender extenda, and glovebox light. I will be putting bark busters, internal and external power, and maybe a rear huger on my baby. So currently my bike has 4-6 aftermarket. It will end up with 7-9 aftermarket. haha far cry from My BMW's both K1200s and K1300s were fully optioned and i ran them as i got them, no mods! this is the first new bike that i have bought and had the after market stuff in my hands before i got my bike!

And there was me expecting you to reply "not a lot" :)

I guess I"m the only one who has no interest in mods, but then I've never done that kind of thing with any of the vehicles I've owned. It does look a lot cooler with low profile mirrors on it, but I feel like those might affect the safety or visibility.

My gluteus maximus requires at least one mod! Its easier to do a seat mod than my buttocks.

As an old Rocker from the UK I had a great interest in Mods mainly exterminateing them :) :)

Sorry I couldn't resist

The only vehicle I can think of that I haven’t modded was my Maxima and it already had the windows tinted when I bought it.

Mods so far:
Honda tall wind screen
Center stand

In the mail:
Grip puppies
Rox risers

Next up:
Probably the seat
Lower pegs

Future as money allows:
Rack and top box
Engine guard

Down the road:
Panniers
Electrical outlet accessories
Communications
Head light

Does riding gear count?
Helmet
Winter gloves
Tour Master Flex pants
Soon: Jacket and boots

Purchased accessories:
Honda wind deflectors (upper and lower)
Honda heated grips (gets a bit nippy during my winter commute)
Cigarette lighter adapter for in the "glove box"
Rosscromo rear hugger

Considering the Hepco & Becker crash bars. I have only seen one bike with them installed along with the Honda upper wind deflectors. It looked like they can coexist. Has anybody had any issues with the Hepco & Becker crash bars interfering with the Honda upper wind deflectors?

I will be getting the font fender extender, and possibly the rear shock sock.

Oh, and I ditched the yellow side reflectors on the forks, as well as the terribly awkward bracket for the red rear side reflectors. I may put the red rear side reflectors back, directly on the side of the fender. The rear reflector bracket was hideous. Removing it really cleaned up the back of the bike. Flame away. I still have them on my other bike, because they match the look of the bike way better.
