I guess my KTM wasn't enough work, so I decided to jump on the Italian train and pick up an Aprilia. Although, this one (2007.5 model year) has a ROTAX motor which is made in Austria, so it's kind of more of the same.
Anyhow, bought it a few weeks back, spent about 100 miles on it just making sure it worked, and promptly took it on a 2300 week long ride through Northern California, Oregon, Washington and back down. Surprisingly comfortable over that distance too! It obviously lacks the storage and fuel economy of the trusty NC, but the Ohlins suspension and dirt-bike style bars made it really a pleasure to ride even long distances. The fuel stops every 110 miles didn't, however.
Anyhow, here she is in the middle of Oregon, between Coos Bay and I-5.
