New Tires: Continental TKC70

Seen several articles on this tire. I think they are optimistic to suggest the TCK70 is in the same league as the K60 for off road. Looking at the tread pattern this is a competitor of the Shinko 705.

If I remember correctly, the sizes coming out would be the same as we use for the Shinko 705. 130/80 front 150/70 rear.

Looks to be good alternative to Distanzia
Problem is no front in 17"

Last week i got my TKC 70 on the front and a TKC 80 on the back. There wasn't a TKC 80 for the front last week. Rides well both of them.

What size front did you use? Thought the TKC 70 was 19" and 21" fronts only.

According to my preferred tire supplier (mynetmoto.com) the Continental TKC 70 rear tire (160/60/17) will be available Q2 2016.
The TKC 70 front tire (120/70/17) is apparently already available (but currently out of stock).
I have ordered a set of TKC 70 tires for my NC750XAD expecting delivery as soon as the tires are made available.

I still see folks that are only getting 2500 miles on TKC 80. As big and fat as I am and as hard as I am on my NC7, I get around 5000 miles on TKC80 rear tire and 6000 on the front tire. Yes this is about 2000 less miles than I get on street tires but these are dirt tires. Yes the Sport rear tire gets better milage, but in hard rain on asphalt it can slide right thew a red light.

I'm also interested on those tires (my actual tires still last thist winter I guess), please post a feedback (with photos :) ) when you have them

I only find the front size in that website and it's out of stock, Continental website doesn't show that size, anyone knows why?. for the rear 150/70 17 works for me.

I think the " out of stock" answer regarding 120/70 17 is just made up by a computer.
Can't find that size for TKC 70 anywhere else. No 17" front listed on the Continental sites I find.
But... I don't mind beeing wrong here :)

I quote myself :)
Maybe maybe I was right at the time I wrote that but it' s wrong now!
Front tire TKC70 120/70 17" will be available Q2 this year according to Conti site.
It's good to be wrong :)

Great news!

I also knew the TKC-70 17" front would become available immediately after I replace my tires.

Well... Continental answered my email and they said that the production of the stock sizes for the NC is a bit delayed. They expect the 120/70 17 to be available in Germany this August and the rear 160/60 17 at the end of september, also in Germany I guess..

It's a shame because I really wanted to try this tires but I can't ride without rubber :/

i want to try these. but they must be talking months of 2017 and not 2016.

+1 greenboy. I will need new tires in a couple of months and would love to try a set of TKC-70's in stock sizes.

Fingers crossed!
