[Ed Up]

Three years ago we rode from Sallisaw, OK to Niagara Falls, to Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick. In NB we got a ferry from Saint John to Nova Scotia. Circled NS back into NB and down to Maine. Rode the length of the Adirondacks and as we passed Lake Placid they were practicing the long jump on to, what appeared to be plastic turf of some sort. Later that day they were having a free style competition. Looked like little white donuts on the slope and landed in a swimming pool. Very interesting day. On the return went to York, PA and watched them build HD's and Hershey, PA and ate some chocolate. Then followed the Blue Ridge Pkwy to Knoxville, got on the big road and came home. Two weeks and 6500 miles, lots of dirt roads and 65% was probably 2 lanes, lots of riding and was on a Wing at the time. The Saint John ferry was nice and the tour around NS was a wonderful ride, the people were wonderful. We toured several Light Houses and Catholic Church's. The light house in Halifax was super neat. I was amazed at all the church's and the history around them, made some very interesting tours. The church's were open, with collection plates with money in them and no one around. That would never happen here, money would be gone. We ordered a travel guide from NS that was a lot of help. Have a great trip.

Ed Up , that sounds like a great trip! I would love to take a long trip like that one day!
