And loved where the power outlet was - in the steering stem. What exact power outlet will fit here?

They sell the stem mount 12v cigarette outlets. I have one on my VFR. I think twisted throttle sells ones that fit the NCX. You can wire a cigarette type direct to the battery as it doesn't draw power when your not using it. If you use USB you would want it switched so it doesn't slowly drain your battery.
For the best of both worlds, instal a cigarette type then get a dual USB plug that you can put in when you want to use USB. When not using it pull it out so it doesn't drain the battery. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008RBSXJO/ref=cm_gift_hist_link
