Rabbit Hash, LY Lunch Run - July 3 (9:30 AM)

Will be leaving from E.P. Tom Sawyer Park at around 9:30 AM and heading up mostly via 42 into Carrollton and then up some other roads into Rabbit Hash itself. Scalded Hog BBQ is the name of the place, I believe. The General Store is also famous. Anyway, that is my current plan to run up there (takes about 2 hours and is right at 2 hours). I do know there isn't any gas stations, but up the road on the way in there is one or two.

Depending on the time and schedule, I may continue riding up to Aurora, IN (crossing the river at Lawrenceburg via 275) and come down the Ohio River Scenic Byway (156) to Madison for dinner at Hinkles and then back home 421 to 42. There is a small brewery in Aurora called Great Crescent Brewery that sounds like it needs a trying out.

Just a little bump for any in the area who wish to go. Weather looks like it will be a normal summer day in the Ohio River Valley. Lower 80's for the high with a 40% chance for rain. For me, that is a go. If you plan on coming, bring some rain gear, just in case. No need to tempt Murphy to show his head and start passing laws again...
