Hi Folks,
Just home from a beautiful round trip from our home in Olympia, WA, which is on the wet west side, across the Cascades and the State to Pullman, WA, near Idaho. Doing this takes you through every ecosystem in the State and most of North America. From the rainforest of the West to the shrub and desert of the East. Camped on the Snake River near Pullman. The NC is my wife's bike but fits me well enough. About 700 miles on this trip.
The route is up I5 to 18 to I90 out to WA26.
I've come to think of it as sophisticated simplicity. It's sophisticated in all sorts of ways, but amounts to a simple bike. It does everything well except pass at speed, but that's not what it's trying to be. I only ever get about 53mpg average on the freeway here, doing 70-80 mph on average. She hit 3,000 miles on this trip so she got her oil and filter changed.
