That free food looks like it would need to be accompanied by a defibrillator.
All I see is fat and carbs.
Where's the Greek salad with grilled chicken breast? LOL
But, I guess you get what you pay for.
Nice to be young and not care about what you eat.

That roast beef was actually quite good! But yeah, I don't eat like I should, and I drink a lot of beer too. I'm 34, so my metabolism isn't what it used to be and has caught up with me somewhat. I got up to about 238 lbs a little over a year ago. lost about 30 of that and have maintained my current weight for a while. Although, I've been working out (mildly) to try and mitigate my caloric intake. It's so different, because I was a bean pole when I graduated high school....6'1" and 135 lbs... and could eat anything I wanted all day long, not gaining a single pound. A few years, craft beer, and good food changed all that. LOL

Went to the post office. Skipped the one in town and went to the big city instead. Hopefully my mail will get to Kentucky faster now.

Have been riding around the past with the SPOT X satellite locator and the iPhone both mounted to a single RAM Toughball mount that was split into a “Y” with a 1 to 2 ball, onto 2 RAM arms but was not happy with the positioning. The 2 devices also bounced and vibrated a bit more than I liked so this morning I went out with wrenches, drill and bandaids to disassemble the mount.

Drilled a hole in the MadStad mount, added a second RAM Toughball and now I have 2 separate mounts, one for each device. Have not tested yet, but I suspect I’ll return to lower vibration like I had before when only 1 device was attached to the original mount. One of the Toughball mounts is on the left Madstad frame, the other is on the right frame.

And yes, I needed the bandaids, but as this is a Church day there were no swear words echoed out over the countryside as I sliced open my knuckle on a sharp bit.

I awoke today to heavy overcast skies and mild (70F) temperatures. This is my favorite riding weather. I realize it's not popular, but I love cloudy days and I hate sunny days. I put in 100 miles and visited some family. It even sprinkled rain on me a little and I didn't mind. Got home and put the bike away just in time as the sun came out.

It’s still at the dealer for the 16k checkup. They said there there was a fork oil leak, so that will add some cost. Fortunately there is also a drz 400 and a Goldwing in the garage.

Enjoyed a week of free parking at the terminal at LAX because I took the bike to catch my plane to Europe. That also saved me 1/2h to 1h in traffic jams each way.
On the way back, not eager to die in the rush hour 405/101 (9h jetlag, 12h flight), I took PCH through Malibu -> Encinal canyon -> 23 to go home. Nice mix of ocean views, fast, and slow curves.

When I lived in Chicago, I used to wonder why I was flying back, because the places I flew to were all nicer landscapes than "home". Chicago's a lot nicer than LA, but the landscape around LA definitely wins.

today i fitted my Black Widow cat eliminator

easy fitup...sounds perfect.....had the exhaust gas analysed and well within our parameters

im not a fan of noisy exhausts, rather like a good note

i cant ride the bike yet as i have the wheels off awaiting new tyres but the garage test proved just what i was looking for,an exhaust which is a little freer than stock but still quiet

replacement pipe looks to be ceramic coated(not sure)

very happy camper so far

i needed to fabricate a spanner to remove the oxygen sensor(this sensor is not affected by the cat removal as it connects right at the front of the header)

some pics

great job Merlot, i was just looking at those pipes on FleaBay. Glad to see the pics you posted, thanks! I have applied a lot of Ceramic coatings over the years and i can assure you
with certainly yours simply looks like polished stainless steel.

Rode to The Furniture Factory in Huntsville for bike night last night. Good times, and they serve free cater-style food at bike night. Pretty awesome.
Wow TacoMan, that looked like it was a great time. I mean seriously... Food+Bikes, it just does not get much better then that man!

Baby had an early doctor's appointment so my wife and our foster son were out of the house at 8am. Shortly thereafter I headed out for a fun ride, no destination, just a ride around the block. Or in this case, a big square through parts of 4 counties. Testing the SPOT X and the iPhone in their new mounts. The iPhone is now slightly to the right of centerline above the instrument cluster, the SPOT X is now slightly to the left of the centerline above the instrument cluster. Pretty happy with the set up, the separate mounts let me orient the SPOT X so the antenna is straight up, which is desirable, while the iPhone, which I use for navigation, is at an angle so I can see the screen. Being on individual mounts they are also far more stable.

I also ordered a tourist guide to Nova Scotia. Yes the Canadian border is still closed to tourists. But it seems like there is a possibility that it could be open by late August/early September and that is a likely time to arrive there. So optimism and an outlay of $20 including shipping for the guidebook.

I too have been watching the border for an opening date. Really just waiting to see what the Emperor dictates for US to travel into Canada... i'm wanting to take another ride up the International Selkirk Loop and make a side trip over to Kelowna to see the Lake/area before returning to north Idaho. There is a chance i'll take a Pillion, she is from up there and has dual-citizenship. :{P

Did you make the swap just for the sound? What exhaust do you have with it? I wonder how it will affect gas mileage.
