Radiator Guard and Fender Extender Questions

You can make a radiator guard work pretty cheap that is not that noticeable. http://nc700-forum.com/forum/nc700-mods/6308-another-diy-radiator-screen.html

    New Rider and Helmet Noise?

IMHO, it's either all or nothing, with everything in between consisting of a compromise of some sorts. Meaning either no windshield at all (naked) or a huge windshield that completely removes you from the wind, or so I'm told (that you must look through, no thanks). I'm 6ft tall and wear a HJC...

    Tank bag for the frunk....

Wow. Great idea. I like your attachment methods. I had a wolfman enduro tank bag on my previous bike -xr650L. They are worth every penny. The rain covers that are available separately are great quality also. Nice setup!

Awesome scenery! I would like to make that far west in the future

    Extended warranty opinion/s

No kidding. I'm not sure about motorcycle purchases from Honda, but most outdoor power equipment items are only 90 day warranties on batteries, then pro-rated after that up to one year, lol.

Girl On motorcycle cleaning up Litter.

I hate litterbugs, but unfortunately, she will eventually do that to the wrong person and get a lesson in the laws of physics - Yield to Superior Ton-age

Scenic Trip on The Great River Road

Yep, I'm quite familiar with this area. I grew up only about 10 minutes from Alton and have been on many of the roads and areas you describe. Great roads to ride on!

Scenic Trip on The Great River Road

Yep. Lots of history in and around this area. I am always talking to someone new and hear stories about where this tunnel is or what happened there in ....

Scenic Trip on The Great River Road

It's actually Fast Eddies. I've been there may times, but I did not stop there yesterday. Great food and good selections of drinks. I have been there in the evenings on weekends and it's not uncommon for them to have over 1800 food orders for one day!

Scenic Trip on The Great River Road

I went for a short ride up The Great River Road from Alton, IL to Grafton, IL today. It was only short, 60 mile round trip ride, but with a clear blue sky, 70 degree temperature, and no wind at all, I had to ride somewhere today. The first few pics show the Alton Flour Mill and the...

    Extended warranty opinion/s

It comes down to an essential thought on the concept. When you buy the extended warranty, your basically betting it will break- Honda is betting it wont. I know some people hate this, but "It's a Honda". They went to many great lengths to design and build this bike. They don't want common or...

Are you stopped in first gear or neutral?

Always in gear. I never really thought about it much, just seemed natural to be ready for a shtf moment. Got to be ready for what many of the sheeple might do.

    Another DIY Radiator Screen

Ok guys and gals. After much time and thought on the existing DIY and purchasable screens, I had the perfect (to me) screen pretty much show right up to me. A few of us at work ride and the part-time summer help guy pulled up on his 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan that he just purchased. Since I was trying...

So what did you do TO your NC700 today.

Rode to work and ran some errands after work. Came home and changed the oil and filter. Then, continued to fiddle with the making of my radiator screen. Separate thread and details to follow soon. It's pretty cheap and almost looks like a factory screen might. (If there ever was one).

    Check Your Tire Pressure

I check mine at every week, along with the car and truck tires. The guys I work with think I'm nuts, but o well.

Yes, yes, let's talk about the weather.

Ha. I'm glad you guys got the snow and not us up here. I was about 40 miles north of the snow line here. Just cold and windy yesterday. It was 21F here when I left for work this morning.

    Oil Change from Hell

I use either oil filter pliers or a fairly big set of channel locks to get all oil filters off. After wrenching on my own stuff for about 15 years and 9 years of that being a small engine mechanic, I've never had to use a screwdriver and hammer. The factory oil filter on my bike was probably an...
