The only question I have is doesn't the heat shield get hot enough to damage the bag when it's laying on it ? I never really checked the shield to see how hot it gets. Just assumed it was hot enough to melt nylon . Thanks for the info. helps a great deal.

When fueling the starboard bag leans on the muffler heat shield,( about 35 deg lean) and the port bag rotates about 90 deg. You needn't remove them to refuel.

I am really happy with the system. They also will expand about 2 inches via zipper to increase their capacity.
