I was lubing my chain tonight when I got home from work and found something interesting. I was doing a routine once over on the bike and while checking the wheel bearings out I felt some "knocking" from the rear. I usually grab the top of the tire with one hand and the bottom of the tire with the other to see if there is any play in the bearing side to side, which can be a sign of a bad bearing. As I worked the rear wheel back and forth I heard a "knock" "knock" every time I pulled. It was ever so slight but definitely a noticeable sound. Can anyone else check theirs to see if maybe it's just a characteristic of the Cush drive or maybe I have an issue? Please and thanks to everyone in advance :)

Well when I got to work this morning I figured I would remove the rear wheel to check the bearings point blank. Its easy enough with the center stand anyways. Everything feels good with the bearings, no side to side movement and no grinding feeling so I put it all back together. After tightening everything down I am still getting that slight bit of movement. I figure it just must be a characteristic of the axle/bearing/spacer/cush drive all put together. Only one way to find out.. wait till something breaks lol. Thanks for the feedback!

I think it is not funny if something breaks while you are at 80mph.
Get a mechanic from the shop which you bought the bike from, to check it out.
:D

take it to the dealer have him look at it. so there will be a paper trail, encase of problems, in warranty or out. if there is a paper trail out of warranty they may cover it anyway it is just easier this way. dale
