Maybe check the weather stripping on the lid. I have never had an issue myself.

Yes I had such a rattle on my former NC700X. It bothered me until I figured out what it was. Once that was ascertained I forgot about it

It was the latch of the frunk lid moving moving with rough surfaces on roads. When I suspected the latch I simply pressed down on the frunk over a rough patch of road and the rattle stopped. After that I ignored it because nothing was getting damaged.

they were two different kinds of noise. a noise from the lid and another from the lock. solved the noise of the lid with rubber door bumpers on the edge and the noise of the lock with grease application as specified in the service manual
