Hi,
I found a deal on Chase Harper saddlebags, tank bag, and tool bag. I decided to use the tank bag and tool bag on my ST1100, but the saddlebags seemed to want toswing under the fender, closer to the rear wheel than I want. I had already installed a Hepco and Becker Alu-rack, so I fabricated a small plate out of 1/4" aluminum and drilled holes and sandwiched it between the back rack and the mounting base, which is secured by two screws on each side. The plate has a small amount of flex, depending on the weight in the bag, but it was stiff enough to keep it out from under the fender.

The bags aren't pretty, but they are functional. For added cargo capabilities, I found these collapsible duffel bags from WallyWorld:
