Turn Signals Stopped Working

On my way to work I noticed the turn signals started to malfunction. When I put on the left signal all running lights go out. Push in the center to cancel and the running lights come back on. Put the right turn signal on and all the running lights stay on but nothing blinks.

Do I need to replace the switch or the relay?

Check relay first.
Then switch.
