2017: What did you do to/with your NC700 today?

I have a Galaxy S6 Active with a Pelican case box.. and it fit, stretched the bands pretty well but it worked.
No worries.. I'm gonna use it on my other Vespa/Stella mix.. haha, it's a real scoot, 2 stroke like they should be, quite the beast 177cc modded scoot that does 75, but still, probably easier on the horn than the NC. :D

Thanks for the info, I'll compare the size of the two

I patted the seat of the NX as I passed by it and grabbed the golf clubs to head out for 18 this morning. Great to have 2 hobbies I love!

Adjusted the valves today. Little late, 17k miles. Intake seemed a little tight, but then I never trust my "feel". Think I'll do them more frequently.

Took a back road ride. I am working on another "Nice Ride" video.
Came home on Route 66.
Lots of bikes out.
75 and sunny.

Cleveland.. last week Sun - Wed 75 - 85 deg F.

Thursday - Tomorrow. 55- 31 deg F, and Portland style all day semi heavy constant rain... possible wet snow tomorrow

This BLOWS..... If there is even a peak of sun tomorrow at some point and even if its 10 deg, I'm riding tomorrow.

Waited all week

Left my NC at home to take MSF Dirt Bike School in Alpharetta, GA. Lots of fun. Staying in town to take trail riding class tomorrow. Will be more comfortable heading down unpaved roads or forest service roads on NC after class.

My cush drive rubbers came in last week and I installed those and my 17 tooth front sprocket today, 17 on the front with 41 on the rear is too much for a 200lbs+ rider and 30mph head winds so I went back to the 16 for now. When it's time to replace my chain and sprocket I'll go with 17 and 43.

Make sure you trash that training bike and have fun!
Trail should be sufficiently muddy for a good time.

Rain broke, temp was in the low 40's this 8 AM and the sun was out. So I did 160 miles and got in some cool sights.

American Ninja Warrior is filming downtown Cleveland today (Gonna suck for them, 40 deg tonight!)
Saw that, did some light stone/trail riding and then out to Wendy Park (IF I ever get more serious than stone roads and packed fire trails I'm gonna need some new shoes) and then headed out to see the lighthouses before heading way out to the West side to check out the "Cycle Gear" store (got a pair of nice Alpinestar sport touring mid boots for 60% off.. they are the JAM and were $100 less that I could find them on eBay!)
\hen back to Cleveland Heights via, some park roads and minimal Highway. Awesome morning. And home by 12 so the wife isn't even mad.

Still loving the NC...

Took the MSF introduction to trail riding class today. They do an awesome job. Max class size of 4 people with 2 instructors bikes and all gear included and only $145. Probably can't find just the bike rental cheaper elsewhere.

Used muscles I'm not used to using and all I could do to drive my truck 2 hours home.

Great experience I recommend to anyone. Thanks to DCT Fan for letting me know about it.

They had a bike night on Saturday 4-7. With the weather we've had this past week I'm surprised they didn't postpone it!! They're worth getting on the mailing list for and attending once in a while. They give stuff away, have free food/drink and some of the attendees are worth talking to on occasion!! Also, be sure to register your purchase. They have a great return/refund policy that you can take advantage of at any store by having them look up your original purchase!

After commuting only a couple of times this week (in the drizzle /rain) it was time to clean the bike & chain, then re-lube. Got to admire the new tyres but too many commitments today to run them in some! At least the weather looks like it should cooperate over the next few days so I can be back on two wheels to work again!

After riding from Mt Pleasant to Columbia yesterday along 176 rather than the interstate, rode home today through very rural SC two lane highway most of the way. About 300 miles between yesterday and today.

Tomorrow morning is gonna suck.. They expect it to be 32-38 deg at 6am... AND I have no choice, wife got T-boned and needs my car tomorrow. Time to make sure I got my gear planned! Sometimes a good chill wakes ya up properly in the morning!
