Great,I've been trying to find the time to do the WABDR for several years and next July is the time.I would love to get as many NCXer's as possible to run it with me.

The only thing I really need to know is what size tires you use for a dirt road trip?

Continental Twinduro TKC80 Dual Sport Tires (front)

Heidenau K60 (rear)

I believe I already have the rest.

Thank you for the information. I will install them before I head out for Washington.

Went to doctor for today for another cat scan, but the tech who was to put the dye in my veins did not show up. So they went ahead and did the cat scan. So, doctor says that is not enough information for him to see what needs to be done. So all is once again scheduled for next Monday.

I just wish someone would make a decision as to put the artificial joint in my shoulder or not.

There is only 1 DS tire in a 160 and it's north of $200 and is as soft as butter. The 150 and 160 are very close in size and my 150 K60 is wider then the stock 160.

The 160 is only 10mm wider. The K60 is wider because the side knobs stick out a few mm.As long as the tire doesn't rub anything your ok.There are alot of street tires in a 160 rear but no DS tire except the MT90 and it's a SM tire so it's pretty soft..

I know that Heidenau is a well know German company that makes great tires, but so is Continental. Why is the Heidenau rear tire recommended by everyone instead of the Continental rear tire?

I am in. How long will it take to run? North to south or the other way?
Way more interesting than the tarmac.

It does not matter which end you start at - begin whichever end is closest to you.

After riding the WABDR in both directions, I recommend anyone riding a heavy bike to plan on 6 days~if you find your making good time, there is some great exploring / activities to do along the way.

I want to end in Canada so I can meet my wife for our annual get a way in Osooyos BC.
I would like start on a Saturday morning and end on Thursday afternoon.

Thanks, neither end is much closer to me. We road hard last year to do Ellensburg, Conconully, looped north and back to Conconully, and then back to E-burg thru Okanagen and Wenatchee. 80 miles of pavement and about 600 dirt in 3 days.
