I work in the education field (on the IT side) so I know about Common Core (although I STILL don't understand it). Apparently this dad hates it, too: Dad Writes Common Core Check
I did talk to my local Sheriff last night, and he is going to have a deputy come over tonight or tomorrow eve when...
ACK! Math! I wonder what that formula would look like in Common Core
We are family friends with our Sheriff (he personally took my son under his 'wing' & straightened him out when he got into some trouble with the law) so I am gonna contact him; I'd love to know exactly how long...
Yeah, I may have overestimated the skid distance (I'm not good at that). I might call our local Sheriff dept and see if they can get one of those measuring devices out to find out exactly how far that skid is. He had to have been traveling real fast (limit is 60mph) as it is a long straight...
Agent, not sure his speed, but he wasn't on my tail...and he locked up his brakes (thus the smoke) but I don't know much about ABS and how they work but yeah, scared the heck out of me. If I didn't hear his tires screeching, I wouldn't have looked when I did and probably would have been all...
Oh, I plan on it, Sgt Chuck! I'm just gonna take a small break, mostly for my wife. I'm off on Monday, so if Tuesday is decent weather-wise, I'll be taking the NC to work (it always starts my day off with a :D )
I wish, but I would have to basically travel and turn around in someone else's driveway (like I did last night). I've never had an issue before (either bike or car), but it is something I will be more careful about. Most of the time, if the opposite lane is clear, I will travel in that lane...
My wife is adamant that I sell the bike (she never wanted me to get it anyway). She is so worried about stuff like this. I am taking a (small) break & just drive my Rogue to work, but I'll be back on it very, very soon....I also hid my keys from her so they don't accidentally 'disappear' :p
Can anyone guess what these photos show? If you guessed skidmarks from a speeding Camaro about to slam into a motorcycle rider who was getting ready to turn into his driveway, you would be correct!
I always turn on my turn-signal at the same point on the highway & started to slow/gear down...
Before I bought my NC in 2012, I took the MSF course, mainly for 3 things: 1. I wanted to actually SEE if I would like to ride a bike before plunking down $$ on something that I probably wouldn't like 2. I've never ridden a bike before (I've always had Honda ATVs since 1986). 3. Make my...
I've looked for this answer, but didn't find a clear answer, so sorry if this has been talked about before.
I recently acquired used Honda side cases, and would like to find the Honda top case equivalent from Givi/Kappa. Unless I can find a used Honda top case, I can't justify the new cost...
I watched your MMR 2 Morning Ride to Work...love the 'ramblings' like McDs coffee, texting and driving, etc. You kinda put some humor in your narrative which made it fun to watch! I'm subscribed :D
Now to watch the others. Keep up the great work. I enjoyed it
Congrats and welcome from Central MO. I bought the Honda side cases from a member here and I love them. They may not hold an entire grocery store, but they look great and hold just enough of stuff for me!
Take pics of your new ride when you get it.
The module isn't small. I think when this no longer works, I'm gonna save up and the the SMH10R. Other than that, it works great and I love it. I talk to my wife on the phone all the time via the Sena, and she says it sounds like I'm in my Rogue using Bluetooth. No one has complained about...
