When I lowered my 2012 NC700 the center stand solution was the CTX700 center stand and Soupy's adjustable side stand. It has been working great for years.
This is what I carry in a vinyl pouch in the tail cone under the seat. In the frunk is a screwdriver handle with bits and a Leatherman wave. The third tool from the left in the pic is a cut-off from an allen wrench for the front wheel. I inventoried every fastener on the bike that I was likely...
Sumo,
For certain things you don't have to switch out of "D". Say you want to shift down on a hill you just hit the down button and it does it. When you apply throttle it goes back into "D" without you having to remember. However, because you are not in control of the clutch, the downshifts...
This ad keeps appearing on web pages I am browsing. I wonder, does the bike in the ad change depending on which bike you own? That's my color too; hmm, those ads are really personal.
I'm 5'5" and my bike is lowered but it's still a challenge. I have a top box but not side cases. I use the peg method and get my knee over first with my leg bent like a jackknife. Then it's just a matter of sliding the rest of my leg over the rear seat and I don't extend until my foot clears...
My bike was a new 2012 leftover that I bought in 2013. The area you live in is not big on bikes that shift themselves so you may find one that has been sitting in dealers stock for a while. That usually spells better deal. With any bike new or used don't pay for accessories you don't want; for...
If visibility is important to you then you might want to consider your gear choices. Your helmet is black which looks great, but does nothing to increase your visibility from the rear. You are not wearing your jacket in the photos so I don't know what color it is but your shoulders rise above...
I agree with you. I wouldn't break the law. This was a place where I had a right to be. The chain was actually blocking the exit and would not have been a problem if I had been in a cage and able to back up half a block. They should have placed a "no exit" sign at the entrance.
Don't forget to think beyond fixing the bike. Once I found myself at the end of a narrow lane that I ride on and found a locked chain across the road. The lane is very narrow and I didn't feel comfortable turning around. I grabbed the adjustable wrench from my kit, unscrewed the eyebolt...
I think the same thing happens to me but I think it's normal. As you slow down you may be applying varying levels of braking based on the traffic or whatever and the DCT is adjusting to that so it can be in the correct gear ready for accelleration. The DCT is supposed to learn as you use it so...
Me too, I skipped the second half because I thought it was the same as the first in slo mo. I didn't realize there was a happy ending. I just hope there only was a driver in that car and no passengers or kids.
Glad you're relatively okay. What is so troubling about this is that it was preventable. Unfortunately when we are on 2 wheels the local and state government do not seem to care about the road hazards they create for us with sloppy and unfinished road work. They collect their pound of flesh...
