Blew a fuse...why?

they found that I had blown a fuse. What would cause that during routine riding?

A fuse blows when the current going thru it exceeds its capacity. Its capacity is designed to be lower than the capacity of the wiring circuit it protects. So if a fuse blew it can really only be for one of two reasons. The fuse itself was defective and burned out with normal current ... or ... the fuse did its job and protected your wiring from more load than it was designed for.

So .... replace the fuse Look for any obvious problems with wiring. If the new one blows, you have an electrical problem. If it doesn't, then you are probably ok.
