Highway Pegs

Have any of you NC riders put highway pegs on your bike? If so, where did you mount them and what brand pegs did you use? I am looking at measuring the frame and putting a set of pegs up beside the engine so I can stretch my legs. Knees bent back after a while become stiff. May not look great but I'm into comfort for the rider more than looks for the bike.
