Some of the tower parts are (or were) made at Riley Beaird right here in my hometown of Shreveport. I haven't seen any leaving to area in a little while, though. I live right around the corner from the plant.A few of my friends are running police escorts on these wind turbines. They are made in the area of Freeport, Texas, and are escorted by different routes at different times set by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Most of the routes find I-20 and are then escorted to between Synder and Post, Texas where the wind turbines are put into service. Motorcycle police officers make good extra job money escorting these units.

That huge blade made me think, "That's not a knife... THAT'S a knife!" (In an Australian accent, of course)
The blades are also made in Little Rock, AR. Seen them a couple of times on the Interstate.
Did O.C.R. win the tag? Now I'm confused... again. lol

As usual, great photos, Mr. Ride!
Also, I'm sure this has been mentioned in the forum somewhere before, but (since I am too lazy to search) what tires do you have on your X? How are they for grip/tread life/etc?
Many thanks!
