Be aware that the OEM luggage is expensive due to the way Honda makes you buy many items to accomplish one goal.
To install side bags, you need to replace the passenger grab rails. You'll probably then want the rear rack otherwise the rails look goofy without it. Then you need to buy the saddelbag mounting hardware. Then you still need to buy the saddlebags. That's three to four separate accessories you need to buy. Aftermarket bags can be less expensive, give you more options, and you can possibly move the bags over to a new motorcycle when the time comes. The Honda bags appear to be made by Givi, but the mounts and bags aren't compatible with other Givi hardware.
