Admore lighting

Today I finally had the chance to wire up my Admore lights that I bought for my Givi Maxia 3 and V 35 luggage.
The first pic is with a led tail lamp I installed earlier.

This pic is with the lights added to the luggage, no brakes or blinkers.

This pic has the emergency flashers on. I had the left bag unplugged though.

I think I will be noticed a little better now.

Glow in the dark shift boot?! That's super-cool, Cutter! :)

Nice work with the lights, turbodieseli4i6!

I just rode the bike to work today (it felt COLD on the way in) and took a very slightly long way home. Took a bit of leave, though, so left work early. Then I took my son for a brief ride to the store to get some club soda and look for a snack for his mother. It was a fun afternoon for us. :)

LOOKS LIKE POST HAS BEEN REMOVED oh bugger caps on

well said my friend can I call you friend even though I'm GROUCHY OL BUGGER

I installed the center stand I ordered from the Honda dealer today. I put the pivot axle through first, installed the small spring using a bent piece of coat hanger and a wooden handle I fashioned, then pried the big hook on with a SnapOn bogger hook. Easy peasy.

I did NOT have to loosen the muffler bolts to install the spring hook. You can install the if you have nimble fingers and patience.

My two bikes look kool standing upright on their center stands next to each other - my 81 Honda cb900c also on its center stand. Technology sure changes in 30 years. They complement each other sitting there though. Ahhhh....garage riding. ;)

nimble fingers and patience….. myths just like bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster

Well - I HAVE been an aircraft mechanic for 25 years - so I am used to fiddling with things in tight quarters. It took me all of a minute to get that screw in. Really. It can be done.

IF not - then off come the muffler bolts I guess.

Install the subharness and my 2xUSB.

I change a plug from the subharness because i didn't find any similar here so i can connect the 2xUSB.

Next a placed the subharness inside the battery compartment for easy access.

And it's working fine. :)

Got my airhawk today. FedEx finally made the delivery around 10:00 pm!!!
If all goes as planned, I will try it out with a 150 mile ride tomorrow.

Busy day for me and the NC today. Was beautiful outside today, but I decided to hang around the garage and get some stuff installed that's been lying around since Christmas...

You should be able to click on any of these pictures if you want to see a bigger version...

First up, fix/reinstall my CalSci windscreen that pulled itself out of it's mounts... Here's what it did:

Less than ideal.... I put it all back like it was, but I half expect my first jaunt on the highway to pull the damaged well nut right back out. If so, I'll work on a more permanent solution.

Then I installed my Fenda Extenda:

Easy as can be. I thought the included screws looked fine, so I used them. I know a lot of you have replaced them with nicer looking hardware.

Next, installed the ADV Monster volt meter:

I just used some velcro I had lying around to attach it, I'll get some good double sided tape to replace that though. It's not as nice as the Datel Meter I had on my last bike, but for half the price I'll see how it does.

Next I finally got around to installing a 12v outlet in the frunk:

I think that's the last of my electrical doo dads. Don't know how much I'll really use it, but if nothing else it'll be more convenient to plug in the tire pump on trips vs. getting to the battery.

And last but certainly not least, Cycra ProBend CRM hand guards:

Relatively straightforward install, but I'm glad I had read on here that I was going to need a spacer to clear the master cylinder and clutch adjustment wheel. I almost bought Cycra's spacer kit, but for $25 shipped, I thought I'd try my hand with what I could find at our local real hardware store.

Not the prettiest thing I've ever fabbed, but it'll work. I just got some longer bolts, and these galvanized pipes to sleeve the bolts:

Sprayed it with some rattle can truck bed liner textured 'paint' I had on hand. Hopefully that'll hold up a little better than normal paint.

Should help keep my fingers a little warmer.. hopefully.

At this point, my helper was ready for a walk, so I called it a day....

Update:
I took that 150 mile ride yesterday, using the airhawk, and didn't have to stand up on the pegs for relief one time!!! Very satisfied with this seat cushion...so far. Of course a truer test will be a longer ride, but that might be a few months away due to old man winter!!!
