drdubb. If you want motorcycle maps for the West. Go to Butlermaps.com . They have on and off road maps for most Western states. I plan to get a few of them.

Thanks for commenting, it is appreciated! Truth is, I don't ride with GPS, I just ride down pretty much any road around. I don't even know where I am going when I head out the door half the time!GB, love your posts and pics. I need to get back out west. Maybe you could make a ride map!
I looked at a MABDR ride report with a lot of photos. Nice! My rides are mostly long-day and back to home, especially when the starting time isn't hampered by really low temperatures and light. If I lived in Alaska I'd probably be out there 20 hours ; }I had actually Wanted to ride the MABDR this June, but looks like that will be another year. I'm actually a few hours from the start. I could probably ride up, do a section and get home on a long day.
Here in VT 87 Regular has gotten down to $1.75 but the 91 no-alcohol Premium is $2.65.I think gas stations have learned over recent years that people will pay a high “premium” for premium. Maybe 10 years ago, the differences between 87, 89, an 91 octane gasoline was usually 10 cents. Now I see 30 or more cents diferences between grades as the norm. I never buy premium gas and would never buy any vehicle that requires premium because I see it as a sort of price gouging by fuel stations.
Proactively replaced the NC battery today. I had planned to wait a couple months but I ordered a new battery in anticipation of some immediate long distance riding. But now it doesn’t like the trip is going to happen as soon as I had hoped. The old battery was 2 months short of 8 years old, and still working fine.
Interestingly, the fully charged resting voltage of the new Motocross (Yuasa) battery was slightly lower than the fully charged resting voltage on the old original battery. I did not load test old and new for comparison. Apparently resting, open circuit voltage is an indication of state of charge, but not necessarily an indication of overall capacity.
Question for you or anyone. I bought new 2015 last year. Is my battery from 2015? Is the mfr date on the battery?
Wow. I don't know where you live exactly, but I saw Harrison, AR to Louisville was about a 544 mile drive.I guess North Carolina is forcing the private campgrounds to be on the same schedule as state campgrounds....dang it...which I dont get...if you can safely go to Walmart, you can safely camp....easier to stay 6' apart in a campground than in Walmart (even with their stupid arrows, which 40-60% of the shoppers are not following anyways). If I had a way to trailer my bike to 2 wheels or over to Arkansas, I would...but 2 wheels is about an 8 hour ride on superslab and they place over in Arkansas which 670cc mentioned is over 800 miles from my house one way...
. I was not very confident on the deeper rocks.
When mine fell over, the muffler hit down on the lower end (furthest to the lower right in your photo).Gave the bike the annual bath. Put on a muffler slider. View attachment 42040
dont know what happened...today when i checked it is 535 or 569, depending on which superslab I take...google directions must have been wacky the other day...Wow. I don't know where you live exactly, but I saw Harrison, AR to Louisville was about a 544 mile drive.
For me, Harrison is 450 miles one way, while Kickstand Lodge is 600 miles one way.
