I'm seriously considering the Continental Motion for my next set of tires. I have Michelin Pilot Road 2's on now, and I'm at 12K miles with both tires still in good shape.

I'm hoping to find someone who rides, cruising/touring style, on the Motion tires. I'd like to find out how many miles they get before replacement.
I love my PR2 rear. I've whittled my chicken strips down enough to impress myself (though they're still the biggest in the stable), even dragged a toe tonight reaching down to shift. Was planning to wear it out and then put knobbies on, but after 7k it's still got a ton of tread left. So I've decided to pull it and come back to it later. The conti motions don't really tempt me. You'll have to be the guinea pig and let us know what you get out of them.

It was cold and damp but I wanted to see some fall colors before it was too late so I took the day off and headed to the Ozarks. Ran into some thick mountain fog/mist on the way and saw 3 deer and a red squirrel that thought he owned the road. Also passed quite a few deer camps. If they come out ok, I'll post some video in the off-road thread.

Yesterday after some dirt road riding I dropped out on Hwy123 so I thought I'd give ya'll a little taste of northern Arkansas riding. Most every road up there is like this......an incredible place to ride.

I have so many friends who moved to Arkansas when they retired. One reason only, to ride on the great back roads Arkansas has to offer. Great pictures and video.

Great ride video, bamamate! What's really amazing is that in the 5 minute video there are no other vehicles on the road. And no deer, either .

Rained last night so my big scaredy -cat dog was in the bed shaking most of the night, the cat was also in the bed but she just likes to sleep on the pillow, which meant I didn't get up until late but wooo what a day I woke up to see. Warm, sunny, and a bit breezy. Finished the yard work yesterday so I decided I couldn't pass up such a beautiful day and headed out around noon to ride my favorite road hwy 16.

After a couple hours of riding and eating a late lunch I tried taking a shortcut down Johnson 5491 or something like that.....was letting the GPS find the shortest way. Being at a higher altitude most of the leaves were gone but the views were still good.

and the road was great

Until about mile further down were it turned into a long mud hole at the bottom of the valley. Of course I forgot to get a picture but may have it on video. Being alone I didn't want to chance it so I turned around, road the 8 miles back to the main road and took the longer way home.

I had a cool ride today. 55f and rode on some nice back roads southeast of Denver, CO. I did something unusual in that I put gas in the tank. I glad it gets such great gas mileage, I just wish I rode it more so that I could fuel it up a bit more often. Anyway, 86.4 MPG, a new personal best. 237.5 miles/2.75 gallons. What a blast. Looking forward to bore sunny days in Colorado.

Loved the tour guide with pictures. I just spent a week in AZ, without the bike.... Your post is a great motivation to plan a ride from AZ down through SoCal. Next November, I'm there.

I rode from Zurich to Geneva and back today in 7 hours of riding on 600+km in total.
Temperature at 0degrees and cross winds of roughly 30-50kmh. Dangerous and kind of silly.
All on autobahn.
I had to pick up something there.

I rode in to work this morning with the temps well below freezing. My hand guards and Hippo Hands handlebar muffs should be here this week! I think the winter temps are here to stay in eastern Washington.

I opened the frunk to get a tool out while I was working on my truck. Looks like the bike is going to be parked for a few days while this winter storm rolls through.

Instead of dealing with all the people out shopping in town, I headed out for a long ride over to the Snake River. The temp was well below freezing, but I still had a pleasant ride.

Went for a ride with family today, some of which is visiting from fairly near that part of the Snake River!

We went up Yarnell Hill, and then over the Spars into Prescott. It was just a pleasant, leisurely ride; lots of fun! :)
