Still in the 50's in the morning and low 70's in the Sierra's at 3500-5000'. Went for a150 mi ride on Saturday to check out shad seat and only got 50 mpg and wore outside of toes off on my new boots and beveled the side stand and peg feelers a bit.Today went down to coloma to shoot pool with friends than down 49- Marshall grade and up to garden valley, than 193 to placerville, than rode apple hill to my brothers than up to Pollock and stopped at the knot hole off sly park on the way home . Rear wheel was pretty dusty but tread was cleaned off. Think I'll crank some more preload on rear shock to get more clearance in turns w compressions

33 degrees and sunny for this morning's ride. Starting to get nippy. Had the electric jacket liner cranking and put on the handlebar mitts yesterday afternoon so it wasn't too bad.
It was 58 degrees yesterday morning on the way to the gym, 60-something on the way back. I though that was cold! Love your grit!

Not today, but yesterday afternoon knowing that it would be near freezing on today's ride, installed my new Kemi Moto handlebar muffs. So easy and didn't even have to take off my mirrors.

Very cool muffs and an attractive price point. Thanks for posting.

Makes me wanna dig out my old Vetter Hippo Hands. My wife gave them to me as a gift about 40 years ago.

Yea I had those on several bikes back in the mid 70s along with my Vetter 2 and 3 Fairings. Great combo for cold weather riding. Craig Vetter was a smart and innovative man

This weekend had great weather (warm but not hot, cloudy, dry) for what might possibly be my last, or second last campout of the season. This marks about 64 camping nights for me this year.

The main activity besides camping is riding the NC through the Shawnee National Forest in Illinois. I did some gravel forest roads, but mainly it’s winding paved highways under a canopy of colorful autumn leaves. Beautiful.

Love that matching tent! :D

Not today, but a few days ago, my 2012 NC700X's odometer rolled over 100,000.

Okay, okay, it was kilometers, not miles, but given our fascination with big round base 10 numbers, I thought I'd see what 99,999 and 100,000 looks like on the NC odo. I guess I'll need to ride a few more years to actually reach 100,000 miles.

Sweet. I need to see what my kilometers are with approx 65,000 miles on it. My 2013...My 2007 Suzuki C50 has almost 106,000 miles.

It was 43 today and with highway speed wind chill a cold finger reminder that it is time to put on the winter handguards.

Install took 30 minutes.

They are the exact same ones I use on my X-Adv. They really are excellent products and stiff enough to keep shape. In my situation they go on over the plastic handguards that come as standard on the bike. However I have left them on permanently
