Aftermarket exhaust and GIVI Trekker bags

Can those in the know share their experience with having an aftermarket and Givi bags? I've seen several pictures - even of the same pipe - where it seems like height would start to conflict with bags. I don't want to buy something and not be able to use it. Thanks

    Ride Technique VS Fuel Economy

I average 64mpg. I have the Givi Trekker 33 side bags and I'm 250lbs. I usually shift at or before 4K rpm. My practice is to take a picture of the pump and the miles and enter into fuelly later that day. So far I've accounted for every mile on the bike.

    Gas Gauge Mishap

I've noticed that mine is also very sensitive to slants/hills/slopes. The difference between red bar and 2-bars is the slope of my driveway.

    shoulda got the DCT!

OP - have you taken the MSF class? I don't want to get too deep into the shoulda, woulda, coulda's but with a bike 100lb heavier than a 250cc it's important to get a great handle on clutch control with those low-speed maneuvers.

    Seen in the wild

Witnessed one of these hoary beasts going down highway 37 in Bedford, IN today. At first I thought it was a naked bike, possibly a Ducati. (The sun was in my eyes.) Didn't notice the helmet. Did notice the black and hi-viz yellow jacket though. I immediately wondered if they're on here.

Well it finally happened! (GRAPHIC VIDEO AND IMAGES)

Ugh. Sorry to hear of your crash. It makes me sick to my stomach to think about the injury, the hassle, the insurance, etc. Hope all goes well for you. Thanks for the video and the lessons learned.

What do you do to be more "visible"?

Do you guys ride with your brights on during the day? Also, lane positioning is important, especially as it relates to if/how they will see you.

    A quieter helmet

I'm looking closely at the Shoei rf1100. There is a dealer about an hour from me. I'm going to have to check them out.

2013: What did you do WITH your NC700 today?

Rode to work on the bike for the 9th straight day. I don't ride in the rain (as I have to show up to work looking classy). We're darn near in a drought.

Mounting Tool Tubes inside of Givi panniers

Are the fuel tubes really for gasoline? Is there any kind of issue with expansion or venting?

    A quieter helmet

Gang, I have a Bell Revolver (because it comes in hi-viz yellow) and it's incredibly noisy. Even with earplugs or headphones. The aerodynamics on the NC have made it even noisier. I installed the Givi tall screen this weekend and it changed the noise but I can't say the volume of the white...
