The helmet is great, the optics are kinda funky when using both shields at the same time but you get use to it.The snow was at almost 6,000 feet but it will all be gone in another 2 weeks or so.

Live life,be yourself !!!!.

Yup there's a hole that directs some air behind the instrument panel. I'm finding the screen to be a little short for me and may be ordering a CalSci one if I can confirm the handguards won't hit it.

Be sure to do a little searching on this site on CalSci and the cracking issues. Not sure what/if anything has been done to address it since then, but CalSci burned quite a few of us with defective screens a few years ago. I certainly wouldn't buy another.

YMMV,

I had cut and placed a full Alaska sheepskin onto my Bill Mayer seat pad and rode 160 miles for work today (yes... it's Memorial Day.) I like the added comfort.
I even had two smaller pieces left over... one I fit onto my CRF250L and the other went to my son for his 250.

Did this yesterday...me and my music have a potty mouth...Looks like I lost some sharpness when going to youtube...

Installed the R & G radiator guard.

I have the swmotech skid guard ready to go, but one thing per day is enough. I had the dealer install the swmotech crash bars, and reading the skid plate instructions it seems like the crash bars will complicate the skid guard installation.

I am sort of a C- wrencher, so I have to space stuff out or I get frustrated.

Oh, and took the wife as pillion for her first time. Kept it down to about two miles and drove very gently.

I have both the SW motech skid guard and the crash bars... (and the R & G guard!)

They don't interfere, however you can't put the crash bars on without taking the skid plate off.

If you have the OEM center stand you will probably have to file/cut some chunks out of the skid plate where it touches the center stand to make the mount holes line up.

My GF is very nervous about riding with me, being dumped from the back of an HD cruiser in a parking lot as a kid. :(
I figure she'll come around, definitely getting some 2 way SENA intercom in the helmets for her first ride.

I don't have a motorcycle shop so I just keep all my tools in a toolbag / mechanics chest, parts in one box and I use ziplock bags to put screws and other doodads that belong to various assemblies. I put all the protection farkles on over the course of two days. Just finished most of the electrical work now.

Thanks! I really only find the stock windshield inadequate at Interstate speeds. Normal 60mph road riding my head is in clean air above the turbulence, helmet vents work nicely.
I would like some kind of bubble for long distance riding though so I'll have to keep an eye on alternatives. My main concern is that there's enough clearance for hand guards without making the screen too narrow.

Added SOME electrical farkels:

Denali DX lights, wired to go high with the high beam, always on etc....

Added a RAM mount for phone and an SAE connector wired up front. Currently an SAE to USB adapter is plugged into it for the phone.

Thanks! I took it for a 200 mile ride at dusk / night yesterday in the pouring rain. The stock Dunlops are okay but not the best on wet roads.
No shorts or intermittent faults. I heatshrink tube, seal and tape all connections and the external SAE have anti-corrosives applied and terminal end caps.
All connections held up, however the GearBrake is way too sensitive for my riding the way I have it mounted, so I have removed that for now.
Probably just needs a better / more level mount.
I am waiting on some ACF-50 to coat the underside / engine but will need to really clean under there first now. :)

Good grief, you did more in one day than I have in 4 years, lol

Rode about 100 miles to breakfast, then about 60 miles home while the temps are still in the low 80s. We've been and are going to continue 100ºF days for while.

Congrats! I'm sure she'll love it! Do you ride one as well? XC or XD? C is the designator for the California version. :)

Sorry, should be NC750XD (for DCT). I myself ride a BMW R1200GSA DOHC. The Mrs would not be seen dead on a BMW...

Left mill a bit early today really hot about a work situation. Told a coworker I was going for a ride in 90+ temps to cool off, and headed for hotel in Augusta 40 miles away. Checked weather before leaving and 15% chance of scattered showers. Got on I-20 a bit west of Augusta, GA. Almost immediately the bottom dropped out bad enough some cars had pulled onto shoulder and then a couple miles up traffic came to a full stop in middle of thunderstorm. Stop and go traffic for next 30 minutes in hard rain without rain gear on. God obviously heard me as I had physically cooled off to the point of being cold when I arrived at hotel.

Now hoping I have dry riding gear for my ride back in morning.

As an extra bonus my NC needed a wash. :)
