Took the new baby out on the highway for the first time today. Had to escort my son to his first day at college this morning. Figured it would be easier to take the NC instead of 2 cars dealing with a bunch of hysterical moms leaving their baby for the first time. Man is she smooooooooooooth compared to my old CBR. Got up to speed nicely and stayed just under 4k RPM at about 70-73 mph, very nimble in traffic, and had just the right amount of power when I needed it.

yup, the NC is a keeper.
 
First ride

Today was my first chance to ride my new to me NC(other than from the dealership to my garage). I was able to do some backroad riding for a couple of hours. This was exactly the kind of bike I was looking for. Easy to ride comfortable bike that's fun to ride locally and rides so much better than my old C50 did on the freeway. The seat was on the long term list, but might have move to the short list. Other than that, success :D

Since I'm in Winston I usually run the part from Fancy Gap VA to points south. Today I rode from Fancy Gap to 181 and back to Winston via I-40. Fancy Gap is only about 45 minutes from me so its an easy on point for me. Sometimes I will switch it up and head west on 40 and head north. All depends really.

If you want to make a day and ride let me know
